Barclays U-turns on back-to-office plans after Boris Johnson statement

The bank had brought around 1,000 staff back to the office across the UK, US and India in recent months

Barclays has postponed plans to bring staff back to its offices, and told some to return to home working, after the UK government reversed course in the face of rising coronavirus infections.

Rowing back on previous guidance, Prime Minister Boris Johnson told MPs on 22 September that office workers who could work from home should do so.
