Barclays named new leaders of its European mergers and acquisitions team in Europe, the latest shake-up at the UK lender's investment bank as it looks to gain market share from its rivals.

The UK lender has named Omar Faruqui as co-head of M&A for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, alongside Pier Luigi Colizzi, who was promoted to head of investment banking for continental Europe earlier this month. Faruqui was previously co-head of M&A for the UK.
