The senior compliance official responsible for Barclays whistleblower programme, Jonathan Cox, is set to depart after settling an employment dispute with the bank, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Cox’s dispute was scheduled to be heard earlier this week at a London tribunal, but it was withdrawn. The bank would not disclose what the dispute concerned or whether it was linked to the continuing investigation into chief executive Jes Staley’s attempts to unmask a whistleblower. Cox could not be immediately reached for comment.
