Baring Asset Management, part of the US-based MassMutual Financial Group, has hired a new head of global equities from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

Tim Scholefield, previously head of international equities at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership for three years, will be based in London and starts at the group on October 2.
