Baring Asset Management, the UK fund manager, has hired James Buckley from rival Premier Asset Management as a director and manager of two of its funds.

At Premier, Buckley ran the Premier European Growth Fund, which outperformed the sector by over 5% and was ranked 22nd out of a universe of 180 funds.
