Baring Private Equity Partners, the third party arm of ING Asset Management, has closed €75m (£47.77m) in a first round of funding for the Baring Central European fund.

The Guernsey-based fund, sponsored by Baring Private Equity Partners, focuses on private equity investments in Poland, Hungary and other central European countries. The firm is ultimately expected to raise €150m by the end of this year.
