Barings moves to manage flows into £9 billion strategy

The manager has reviewed its multi asset funds and said it wanted to 'keep capacity under review'

In another sign of the popularity of multi asset funds, Barings is to cease promoting its Dynamic Asset Allocation, Dynamic Growth and Multi Asset funds to new institutional clients, following a review of the strategy.

The UK asset management group stressed this was not a "soft close", but said it had conducted the review because its Sterling Multi-Asset Targeted Return business had now surpassed £9 billion, and it wanted to "keep capacity under review" as the collective funds in the strategy approached £10 billion.
