Investment firm Barings has closed its first private equity and real assets fund, according to an announcement.

The vehicle, Barings Asset Based Income Fund, closed at $943m, Barings also said. The fund has already backed several companies, in the aviation leasing, media and entertainment, pharmaceuticals and financial services space.
