Louise Barton, the research analyst who is suing her former employer for sexual discrimination, conceded on Wednesday that she had no evidence that she was treated differently to analysts in similar roles during her time at Investec Henderson Crosthwaite Securities.
Barton, who took the stand in the second day of the employment tribunal in London, is alleging that she was paid less than her male colleagues in the media team at the securities firm. She also contends that she was effectively demoted when one of her male colleagues was promoted to head of the media team. The promotion of Mike Savage came despite Investec's policy of not having titles.
