Basta quits Broadview

Victor Basta has told Broadview, the information technology, communications and media mergers and acquisitions adviser and private equity investor, that he will not return to the firm after his sabbatical.

Basta was executive chairman of the US firm's international business, and was with Broadview for 12 years. Since 1997 he has held a senior leadership role within the firm. Basta went on what was meant to be a 90-day sabbatical in November last year, although the firm was cagey earlier this year about exactly if or when he might return. Broadview allows all managing directors who have been partners at the firm for seven years to take up the sabbatical option.
