The chief executive of Chi-X Europe will leave the company in the second quarter following its acquisition by Bats Global Markets

The chief executive of Chi-X Europe, the European trading platform that trades nearly 30% of the UK equities market, will leave the company following its acquisition by Bats Global Markets, Bats has confirmed.

Alasdair Haynes, who joined Chi-X Europe as chief executive in December 2009, will leave the company following a transition period after the deal closes. This is expected to take place in late May or June, according to people familiar with the matter.
