Market-makers will receive rebates for providing liquidity for exchange-traded funds

Bats Chi-X Europe, Europe’s largest exchange, has overhauled its trading tariffs for exchange-traded funds in an attempt to gain market share and promote liquidity in Europe’s fragmented ETF market.

Starting June, the exchange will introduce separate rebates and charges for trading ETFs and exchange-traded products on its largest single order-book, CXE Lit Book, Bats said.
