Bats makes push into European trade reporting

New services should help to grow revenues and satisfy push for greater transparency

Bats Chi-X Europe, Europe’s newest equities exchange, has launched a new range of trade reporting services that will help it to boost data revenues and capitalise on the regulatory drive for more transparency.

Bats' new services include the launch of a trade data monitor, a mechanism created in the first version of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive to allow banks and brokers to report over-the-counter equity trades.
