Confidence returns to banker job market

Survey shows that the the fear of redundancy has evaporated as hiring returns and guaranteed bonuses stage a comeback

Investment bankers are no longer worried about being made redundant and are now far keener in looking for new jobs, with rival banks doubling their offers of guaranteed bonuses, a survey has found.

According to an annual investment banking survey by headhunters BBM Search, not a single respondent among 5,000 believed their job was in danger over the short-term, a staggering turnaround from the one in 10 respondents that feared redundancy a year ago.
