BC Partners offers €908m to take Sanitec private

BC Partners, the pan-European buy-out house, has agreed the acquisition of Sanitec, a Scandinavian ceramics company, through its purchase of a 61% controlling stake in the firm.

The private equity firm has paid Wärtsilä, which held 46.7% of Sanitec, and other big shareholders €14.60 ($13.17) a share, a 50% premium to the weighted average share price of the last 12 months. BC Partners is now offering to purchase all outstanding shares at the same price.
