Bear Stearns confirms Warren Spector resigns

Dow Jones Newswires -- Bear Stearns, blaming the recent collapse of two mortgage-backed funds, confirmed the departure of Warren Spector, who resigned as president and co-chief operating officer.

The company said on Sunday that named Alan Schwartz will serve as its sole president and Samuel Molinaro Jr. as chief operating officer in addition to his current duties as chief financial officer.
