Bear Stearns has recruited Maurice Marchesini as a senior managing director in the financial institutions group (FIG) within its investment banking practice in New York.

Marchesini, who has more than 15 years' experience in the investment banking industry, was most recently co-head of the US depository institutions group at Merrill Lynch.
