Bear Stearns makes fourth funds acquisition in 2004

The asset management arm of Bear Stearns, the US investment bank, has agreed to buy the fixed-income portfolio management team of TimesSquare Capital Management, a unit of the US insurer Cigna.

The acquisition is the fourth in 2004 by Bear Stearns Asset Management, which currently manages $23bn (€18.7bn) in assets.
