Bear Stearns has expanded its investment banking presence in the US health insurance market with the hire of Benjamin Adams, a specialist in health insurance services and Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance plans.

Adams was previously a director in the Health Care group at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was responsible for new business generation and leading execution teams on equity, equity-linked, high-yield, bridge loan, merchant banking and mergers and acquisitions transactions.
