Bearish fund managers predict 2018 market peak

Fund managers are turning more bearish, according to the latest survey of the industry by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, with 40% expecting equity markets to peak later this year.

Cash holdings have ticked up to 5%, from 4.6% in March, while equity have holdings continued a downward trend by falling from 41% overweight to 29% — an 18-month low — the bank's monthly fund manager survey showed.
