Snow and ice continue to plague commuters as Atlantic Storm Emma swept through London overnight, compounding the problems of the last 48 hours from the freezing cold weather from Siberia.

The icy temperatures promise more rush-hour travel anguish for workers in and around the capital this evening with Transport for London reporting severe delays across several tube networks, including the Metropolitan, London Overground and Piccadilly lines. There are also minor delays on the Circle line.
