Berkshire Hathaway sells $550m of Bank of America stock, stake drops to 12%

Berkshire Hathaway resumed its sales of Bank of America stock in recent days, unloading 14 million shares for about $550m and dropping its stake in the banking giant to 12%.

Berkshire sold the shares on 15 August, 16 August and 18 August at an average price of about $39.50 and now holds 928 million shares of Bank of America worth nearly $37bn, according to a Form 4 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission late 20 August.
