Best year for US IPOs since dotcom boom

US initial public offerings (IPOs) have risen 22% on average in 2003, their strongest performance since the peak of the internet boom.

US IPOs have enjoyed their strongest performance since 1999 when red-hot offerings from dotcoms meant that the average IPO rose nearly four-fold, according to Renaissance Capital, the US broker and research boutique.
