Barclays Global Investors (BGI) has promoted Mark Britten-Jones as head of equity research in Europe.

After spending the last three months in BGI's San Francisco office, Britten-Jones will lead the development of BGI's UK and European equity strategies. He will report to Peter Algert, head of alpha tilts research, who Britten-Jones worked under in the US.
