Barclays Global Investors (BGI), the fund management firm, has reshuffled senior management at its European arm after Lindsay Tomlinson, chief executive officer of the BGI Europe, stood down to become vice-chairman at the firm.

Andrew Skirton, global co-chief executive officer of BGI, will assume Tomlinson's day-to-day responsibilities at BGI Europe.
