Sanctuary Group, the music publishing business behind rock group Iron Maiden, has said it is in talks that could lead to a takeover of the company. Sources close to the firm said a number of private equity groups could already be circling.

The sources said the firm could be worth about £170m (€251m), and that private equity firms are likely to face strong competition from trade buyers.
