Big shareholder rebellions mask the return of the nod-through

Shareholders landed two heavy blows on FTSE 100 giants over executive pay this week, but as the AGM season passes the halfway mark, overall levels of dissent on pay have fallen compared with 2016.

The publishing group Informa was given one of the bloodiest noses on pay so far in 2017 at its annual shareholder meeting today, May 26, according to the data provider Proxy Insight.
