Bill Clinton may have rescued more than two journalists. He also may have helped salvage the image of private jets.
News emerged Wednesday that Steve Bing, the Hollywood mogul, real-estate heir and owner of Shangri-La Entertainment, will pay about $200,000 to offset the expenses of Bill Clinton's round-trip flight aboard a private Boeing 737 to North Korea. (Bing, a major donor to Democratic causes, declined to comment on his involvement in the Clinton trip in this Washington Post story through a spokesman, who said Bing doesn't talk to the media.)
