Ex-ECB board member joins Morgan Stanley International

Lorenzo Bini-Smaghi was a key member of the European Central Bank's executive council during the financial crisis

Lorenzo Bini-Smaghi, an Italian economist at the centre of the European Central Bank’s response to the financial crisis, has joined Morgan Stanley as a non-executive director of its international business.

Bini-Smaghi joined Morgan Stanley International on September 27, according to the UK Financial Services Register. The move was confirmed by a spokesman for Morgan Stanley.
