Bishop and Ekers fall victim to Morley shake-up

Morley Fund Management is to lose six senior executives including UK equities veteran Mike Bishop and its head of dealing Martin Ekers, following a strategy review of the business by Katherine Garrett-Cox, Morley's new head of investment.

Bishop was a prominent member of the Gartmore Investment Management equity team prior to his arrival at Morley. He initially supervised equities on a pan-European basis, but more recently took responsibility for an initiative to improve results from Morley's UK institutional equity process, which have been slow to emerge.
