Black offers $61m for control of Hollinger Inc

Lord Black, the former publishing tycoon, who was sued for fraud by the US Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this week, has offered around $61m (€47m) to buy the 22% of shares in publishing firm Hollinger Incorporated that he does not already control.

His bid for the Hollinger Inc stake will be made through his private company, Ravelston.
