BlackRock eyes $400bn in private markets fundraising, doubling of market cap by 2030

World’s largest asset manager also wants to increase revenue to more than $35bn by the end of the decade

BlackRock has set a private markets fundraising target of $400bn by the end of the decade, as the world’s largest fund group seeks to become a dominant force in one of the fastest-growing areas of finance.

The US-headquartered firm, which oversees $11.6tn in assets, also wants to generate annual revenue of more than $35bn by 2030, up from $20bn at the end of 2024.
