BlackRock will offer artificial intelligence tools to its 19,000-strong global workforce, as well as its clients, as the world's largest fund groups start fully embracing the nascent technology.

“In the last year, we’ve seen a mass proliferation of GenAI that we believe will fundamentally change how the world operates,” said a memo to staff on 6 December from chief operating officer Rob Goldstein, chief innovation officer Kfir Godrich, and head of engineering for BlackRock's Aladdin platform Lance Braunstein.
