BlackRock has predicted that global assets in exchange traded funds that have a sustainable focus will rise to $400bn over the next decade — an increase of some 1,500% from today’s figure.
The world’s largest asset manager estimates there is around $25bn currently invested in exchange traded funds that invest according to environmental or social standards, or prioritise companies with good corporate governance. Assets across all ETFs globally stand at $5tn, data from ETFGI shows.
