The firm’s assets under management dipped from more than $10tn to $9.6tn, but active funds help draw in fees

BlackRock reported higher quarterly profit even as market volatility lowered the investment firm’s assets under management to $9.6tn.

The world’s largest asset manager reported net income of $1.4bn, or $9.35 a share, in the first quarter of 2022 ending March 31, up 20% from $1.2bn in the same period a year earlier.
