A £103 million BlackRock fund investing in eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey has been named as having the highest relative carbon footprint of any generalist mutual fund on sale in the UK, according to new research.

The As You Sow Foundation, a California-based investor pressure group, has compiled the figures on 8,500 mutual funds on sale around the world, with collective assets of more than £9 trillion.
