BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has revealed one of the lowest gender pay gaps among US asset managers that have reported data for their UK operations ahead of a looming April deadline.

Women, who represented 45% of all new hires at BlackRock in the UK during 2017, earn a median 28% less per hour than their male colleagues, figures unveiled to its workforce yesterday show.
