BlackRock, the best-selling asset manager in Europe in 2017, disappeared from a list of the 10 most popular companies in the region last year as investors pulled money from its active funds.

According to preliminary 2018 figures from data provider Morningstar, BlackRock achieved net sales of €1.3bn in Europe. This was down significantly from around €60bn in 2017, during what was a record year for sales across the wider investment industry.
