Jean Boivin is head of BlackRock’s influential Investment Institute — the asset manager's in-house economic, markets, and geopolitics research unit.

Before joining BlackRock in 2014, Boivin was deputy governor of the Bank of Canada under Mark Carney, and also served as associate deputy finance minister.
