Salim Ramji's first trip from New York to London since the start of the Covid pandemic coincided with a landmark moment for the global exchange traded funds industry, a sector in which BlackRock comfortably sits at the top. 

The day before Financial News meets Ramji at BlackRock’s office close to Threadneedle Street, new figures show ETFs assets worldwide have reached $10tn, fuelled in part by a wave of new investors loading up on the products over the past 18 months.
