BlackRock's Turnill banks on recovery

Goldman Sachs may have been pilloried in pop-culture magazine Rolling Stone as "a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity", but fund managers at BlackRock are delighted with the US bank's performance.

A holding in Goldman Sachs is among the bets that has helped Richard Turnill, head of global equities, and his team beat the MSCI World index by 3.6 percentage points during the six months to June 30.
