Blackstone fails to make progress on UK gender pay gap

Since 2017, the median hourly pay gap at Blackstone has gone up from 34.9% to 42.9%

The gender pay gap at Blackstone Group’s UK arm mostly stayed the same in 2019 compared with the previous year, as the private equity giant’s female staff continued to earn 57p for every £1 that their male colleagues earned per hour, on average.

Blackstone has published its UK gender pay gap data despite the government’s 24 March announcement that it will not enforce pay-gap reporting this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Since 2017, the median hourly pay gap at Blackstone has gone up from 34.9% to 42.9%.
