The Blackstone Group, the US investment bank, has formed an alliance with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Germany to look into investment and advisory opportunities in Europe.

The two parties have a confidential agreement to work together on projects but they are not forming a joint venture. There has been no financial agreement or other formalised affiliation, although the future possibility has not been ruled out.
