Blackstone hires strategist to succeed renowned forecaster

Private equity firm Blackstone has hired a veteran portfolio strategist to succeed Byron Wien, a renowned figure on Wall Street, write Asjylyn Loder and Miriam Gottfried for The Wall Street Journal.

Joe Zidle, who previously worked at Richard Bernstein Advisors, will join Blackstone later this month and gradually take over many of Wien's investment strategist duties. Wien will stay on a the firm, but it is not clear what role he will have.
