Blackstone dealmaker heads to Charterhouse

The exit follows the departure of Matthew Tooth, another former Blackstone dealmaker who departed in recent months

A senior dealmaker within the London-based private equity group of buyout giant Blackstone has left the firm to join London-based rival Charterhouse Capital Partners, the second high profile departure to emerge at the firm in recent months.

Leif Lindbäck, a managing director who joined Blackstone in 2002, left the buyout firm earlier this year and joined Charterhouse on June 17, according to filings at Companies House. Blackstone confirmed the departure, while Charterhouse declined to comment.
