Goldman Sachs' chief executive Lloyd Blankfein has received the largest bonus paid to a head of a Wall Street bank to date as New York City bankers line up for a forecasted $23.9bn (€18.1bn) in payouts, up 17% on last year.
Blankfein's $53.4m compensation includes a cash bonus of $27.3m, restricted shares valued at $15.7m and options valued at $10.5m. He earned a salary of $600,000.
