Pantheon, which invests in private equity deals, studied over 2,000 and found that bigger is not always better

Private equity’s giants have been raising record amounts of capital for their latest funds, but bigger does not always mean better for performance, a new study has found.

Small and mid-market deals executed between 2000 and 2012 have outperformed their large and mega-buyout peers, according to research by private equity investor Pantheon.
