BlueBay Asset Management, the UK specialist credit hedge fund manager, has hired a former managing director at Morgan Stanley as co-head of its European distressed debt group as it prepares for a boom in that business this year.

BlueBay confirmed in a statement today it has recruited Iain Burnett to jointly run its European distressed debt group alongside Gina Germano, who was previously sole head of the team.
