BNP Paribas hires FIG head

BNP Paribas has hired a director from Barclays Capital's financial institutions group to head its financial institutions advisory division, as the bank looks to fulfil its target of hiring 200 front-office fixed income staff globally this year.

At Barclays Capital Adrian Docherty had been director of balance sheet advisory within the financial institutions group. Docherty was initially hired as chief operating officer of investment banking. He moved to the advisory team three years later.
