BNP Paribas is reported to be planning an offer for Emporiki Bank in a challenge to French rival Crédit Agricole, the sole remaining bidder for the Greek bank.

French newspaper La Tribune reports rumours in the Greek market that BNP Paribas will step in with an offer to trump Crédit Agricole's €3.1bn ($3.9bn) cash bid for Emporiki.
